Covid-19 Measures In Place

The safety and comfort of our customers has always been a priority at New Beginnings Bridal, and this is even more so the case at this uncertain time. 

While every reasonable precaution will be taken, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.

By attending an appointment at New Beginnings Bridal, you are accepting that this is a close contact environment and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

This does mean; however, that our appointments may look a little different for a while whilst we adhere to social distancing guidelines and protect everyone's safety.

Below, we have detailed the measures we have put in place:


Before Your Appointment

During Your Appointment

  • If you, or any of your guests have had any symptoms of Coronavirus within the 48 hours leading up to the appointment or have had a positive Covid test within the past 14 days, please do not attend your appointment and contact us to reschedule

  • Extra cleaning will take place in between appointments:

    • All dresses tried on will be steamed inside and out between appointments

    • All accessories tried on will also be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected

    • All surfaces will be disinfected with disinfectant wipes and sprays between appointments

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. Please do not arrive early as we will not be able to admit you due to ongoing cleaning.

  • Appointments will be limited to the Bride and four guests

  • If you are shopping for bridesmaid dresses and have more than 4 bridesmaids, please contact us and we can discuss the appointment options

  • We have a tripod which you are welcome to use for video-calling the rest of your entourage who could not attend

  • Please avoid bringing children with you where possible. If this is not possible, please contact us before your appointment.

  • The door will remain locked between appointments to prevent others from entering the boutique

  • We can provide you with disposable face masks and footies for trying on shoes

  • We ask you not to touch any of the dresses or items in store until you have sanitised your hands

  • When entering the boutique, we will take your temperature with a contactless digital thermometer

  • All guests and the consultant will be required to wash and/or sanitise their hands

  • All guests will be asked to remove their shoes to prevent tracking germs throughout the store. Disposable slippers will be provided

  • Each guest must sign in with the NHS Track and Trace app. If any guests do not have access to this, we are required to take a record of contact information

  • The 2 metre social distancing guideline will be adhered to at all times where possible

  • The Bride can be helped and the dress fastened by either the consultant with the Brides permission, or by one of the Brides guests with guidance from the consultant

  • Whilst on the pedestal,, the Bride will be able to remove her face mask

  • We will be limiting the number of dresses that can be tried on where appropriate. This is to ensure we can sufficiently clean and sanitise all items between appointments.

  • If you are shopping for bridesmaid dresses, more than one bridesmaid can try on the same dress if they each provide verbal consent to do so without the dress being steamed in between.

Other Measures

  • We have installed a paper towel dispenser in the bathroom, and removed fabric towels

  • Drinks will still be available from our drinks machine, but we will be using single use, paper cups for the time being 

  • We have hand sanitiser available for use in store and also available for purchase
